The Doctors’ Orchestra returns to Cadogan Hall to play another concert supporting Freedom from Torture.
The programme opens with the ebullient Overture to Rossini’s ever-popular opera The Barber of Seville. followed by Beethoven’s “little symphony in F”, written just three years before Rossini’s opera and an ebullient, though very different work.
The Orchestra is joined by the internationally regarded pianist Ronan Magill in a performance of Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto, a piece as massive as the Beethoven is lean, yet possessing a tenderness and intimacy more often found in chamber music than in most romantic piano concerti.
This event is also being live-streamed.
Tickets: £10
Please note, the live-stream is not provided or operated by Cadogan Hall. In the event of any issue, you will need to contact Freedom from Torture.
Duration: approx. 2 hours 15 mins (incl. interval)
