Imperial College Symphony Orchestra, rightly recognised as one of the finest university orchestras in the UK, is welcomed back for its annual concert at Cadogan Hall.

This year, celebrating its 75th anniversary, ICSO presents an evening of uplifting orchestral favourites, including Bernstein’s riotous Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Marquez’s ever-popular Danzon No. 2. The first half showcases the dazzling virtuosity of computer science student Justin Keung with Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a record of an artist’s survival from darkness to light.

Imperial College Choir crowns each half with two uplifting choral works: Vaughan Williams’ Antiphon from Five Mystical Songs and Bernstein’s Make Our Garden Grown from Candide, a celebration of the flowering of mankind itself.

Duration: approx. 2 hours (incl. 20-minute interval)
