Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2019-20, Wimbledon-based Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra is one of the UK’s oldest youth orchestras. The two orchestras comprise over 160 players, drawn from 80 schools across London and Surrey.
Robert Hodge has been Musical Director since 2013, supported by Assistant Conductor, Dan Shilladay.
Both orchestras rehearse weekly, and perform three concerts a year in and around London. SYO undertakes an annual summer tour to Europe and runs regular, free one-day workshops to enable guest players to join regular members.
We are delighted to welcome Andrew Zolinsky to perform Gershwin’s popular Piano Concerto.

Most events last 2 – 2½ hours, evening events generally finishing no later than 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9pm on Sundays.
