The Parliament Choir under its conductor Simon Over returns to Cadogan Hall for a performance of Carmina Burana.
Carl Orff’s earthy and bold cantata of 1937 sets poems from the vast 13th-century Carmina Burana collection, an assembly of themes pure and bawdy, spiritual and decidedly physical. Watched over by the ever-dispassionate eye of Lady Fortune, different characters sing of their place in the world, their pleasures, their desires and often their regrets.
From the spit-roasted swan who once graced the lake to the bawdy drinkers in the tavern, to lovers young and old, all either celebrate their fortune or lament their loss, and cling to love and happiness wherever they can find it.

Most events last 2 – 2½ hours, evening events generally finishing no later than 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9pm on Sundays.
