In the fourth concert of YMSO’s 2023-24 season, the Orchestra performs works by three of the great Romantic composers. The evening will begin with Dvořák’s exhilarating Carnival Overture, setting the tone for an unforgettable musical journey. The spotlight will then shift to the exceptionally talented soloist Francisco Vilar who will mesmerize the audience with a virtuosic performance of Schumann’s Piano Concerto.

To close the concert, the Orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, a powerful and emotionally charged composition that takes listeners on a tumultuous journey through the themes of fate and destiny. With its sweeping melodies, dramatic climaxes, and intricate orchestration, this symphony captivates audiences and leaves a lasting impression.

The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra brings together outstanding young players from across the UK, who are on the threshold of their orchestral careers. Every professional orchestra in the UK contains alumni of YMSO, many of whom are section principals.
