The Orchestre National de Lille promises to shine in this programme packed with luscious French textures and evocative melodies from the very best of the French composers: Ravel and Debussy. Completing the programme with its poise and grace is Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, performed by 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition Winner Eric Lu, whose recent release of this Concerto garnered great critical acclaim.
‘Artistry of that kind is rare in pianists of any age; to find it in a 20-year old is simply astounding’ (The Daily Telegraph)
