Benoit Viellefon & His Trio
Performers
Benoit Viellefon guitar/vocals
Alex Bryson piano
Eleazar Spreafico Ruiz double bass
Benoit Viellefon presents his new Trio. This truly international new outfit is comprised of Benoit with his signature French tinted vocals, playing a 1940s archtop guitar, one of the UK’s finest pianists Alex Bryson, and the fantastic Argentinian double bass player Eleazar Spreafico Ruiz.
Their music is a tribute to the timeless sound of the Nat King Cole Trio, Earl Hines, Fats Waller, Ragtime, swing, French chanson and early Latin American music. The all-singing band brings a fresh and different take on the classic American songbooks of the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s, bringing together the elegance, fun and driving rhythms of the era!
With residencies at Royal Albert Hall’s Jazz Club, Nightjar and Boisdale Canary Wharf, the Benoit Viellefon Trio is quickly making its way to the core of the London jazz scene and will soon be releasing new recordings.
Duration: 2 hours (incl. 30-minute interval)
