One of the UK’s most unique touring bands performs, Moulettes formed in the early 2000s out of Glastonbury and Winchester and have fast become renowned for their breathtaking live shows.

It is clear that few bands have the creative range and work ethic of Moulettes, with a brave approach to production and arrangement Moulettes look for peculiar ways of blending acoustic and electric instruments. Lead singer and songwriter Hannah Miller creates an otherworldly framework in which fantastical characters move between the realms of nature, magic and science, and out of that Preternatural was born – an eclectic 11-track opus for the Natural World, and the strange and beautiful creatures in it.

Joining them for what is sure to be an extremely memorable and breathtaking show is Welsh alternative folk outfit 9Bach. Formed by Lisa Jen and Martin Hoyland in 2005, 9Bach’s music is an atmospheric, evocative, and emotional hybrid of the Welsh folk tradition, and of contemporary influences and working practices. Much like Moulettes, their songs are built on a deepened, almost ambient sound picture and they take you into the landscape and the emotions that it evokes. The way 9Bach compose and perform really reflects this.

December 2017 is the concluding chapter of Moulettes’ two-year Preternatural tour, and the last chance to see the astounding live show that has taken the band across Europe from Poland to Malta, and across Canada from Nova Scotia to Victoria Island.

They are joined by the multi-talented rising star Ayanna Witter-Johnson. Having been nominated for a MOBO Award, this vocalist, cellist, pianist, songwriter and composer from North London is unlike any other with her live shows taking the audience on an intimate journey.
