Film critic and broadcaster Anna Smith brings an unforgettable panel event to Cadogan Hall to celebrate the very best of British film and television for the Chelsea Arts Festival.

Anna leads the conversation alongside some of the finest names from our screens. Her distinguished guests will include the celebrated actor, writer, comedian, producer, and director Sally Phillips – known for Smack the Pony, Bridget Jones, and many other acclaimed works – as well as executive producer Sadie Frost, whose recent documentaries on iconic figures Mary Quant and Twiggy offer unique perspectives on fashion, culture, and creativity; two films which served as a portal into Swinging Sixties London with Chelsea as its mecca. We’re also delighted to welcome the iconic Twiggy herself, whose influence on fashion and popular culture continues to inspire generations.

Award-winning composer and musician Dr Nitin Sawhney CBE, recipient of the Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award, shares his insights with Anna on the intersection of music and film, bringing his wealth of experience from scoring numerous acclaimed productions, from Goodness Gracious Me to Breathe and the upcoming Christmas Karma.

Actor and director Bradley Banton starred opposite Emmy Award-winner Ben Whishaw and BIFA-nominated Sope Dirisu in his writing debut, K&J. His directorial debut short, BLACKMAEL, won Best Experimental Film at the BFI Future Film Festival in 2022. Bradley’s debut feature, MORE LIFE, shot with his friends in 48 hours on an iPhone, is showing at the upcoming BFI Film Festival.

Anna Smith is one of the UK’s best-known film critics and a seasoned broadcaster. Former President of the UK Critics’ Circle, she is the host and co-founder of Girls On Film, the world’s leading podcast about women in film.

This event is taking place as part of the inaugural Chelsea Arts Festival.
