A Night at the Opera returns to Cadogan Hall with a spectacular programme of operatic favourites. Featuring four outstanding soloists – soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor and baritone – the evening brings together some of opera’s greatest showstoppers, including the irresistible ‘Largo al factotum’ from The Barber of Seville, the triumphant ‘Toreador Song’ from Carmen, and celebrated ensemble highlights such as Mozart’s serene trio ‘Soave sia il vento’ from Così fan tutte and Verdi’s dramatic quartet ‘Bella figlia dell’amore’ from Rigoletto.
At the heart of the concert is a mix of much-loved duets and trios from operatic classics including The Magic Flute, La traviata, Madama Butterfly, Tosca and Turandot. The programme also features some of opera’s most treasured solo arias – from the infectious brilliance of Verdi’s ‘La donna è mobile’, to the tender beauty of ‘O mio babbino caro’ and the soaring, triumphant finale ‘Nessun dorma’.
Whether discovering opera for the first time or returning for another unforgettable evening, this candlelit performance at Cadogan Hall promises passion, drama, laughter and music that lingers long after the final note.
