Wimbledon Choral and the City of London Sinfonia present a compelling programme, headlined by the world premiere of American-British composer Tarik O'Regan's Critical Mass and Mozart's uplifting and radiant Solemn Vespers, K. 339.
The UK premiere of James MacMillan's new choral work Angels Unawares alongside his beautiful, contemplative Nothing in Vain, and works by Tallis and Vaughan Williams' hauntingly beautiful Tallis Fantasia.
The Warsaw Philharmonic plays a lost masterpiece by Grażyna Bacewicz, Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, ‘Pathétique’ – expect glorious melodies, high romance, and emotions that are simply off the scale.
The distinguished mezzo‑soprano performs a programme exploring how European composers turned exile into opportunity in 1930s America, featuring music from Korngold, Weill and Eisler to Gone With The Wind, Mary Poppins and Pinocchio.
