Cadogan Hall is keeping cool during the hot weather.

For your comfort, the Hall is fully air-conditioned, and the auditorium is protected from the heat with curtains closed and continuous chilled, fresh air circulating throughout the space. A water station is available so you can stay hydrated before and during performances.

If you are travelling in the heat, please allow extra time for your journey and bring a refillable water bottle to use at our fountains.
We look forward to welcoming you to a cool and comfortable Cadogan Hall.

Join us for an extraordinary morning celebrating Chelsea’s rich and radical cultural heritage at Cadogan Hall, produced by Storystock Sounds, and co-curated with the team behind Chelsea Arts Festival. This event celebrates the launch of Storystock Sounds’ new Blue Plaques Talk Back audio tour of Chelsea.

Beloved actor, author and comedian Sir Stephen Fry, award-winning news correspondent, journalist and author Lyse Doucet OBE, celebrated photographer Dennis Morris and award-winning author Kathryn Hughes join us on stage for this special event in individual discussions around the Blue Plaque icons we are celebrating.

This unique theatrical experience brings together the art of storytelling with historical insight, as acclaimed actors and experts breathe life into the remarkable stories behind Chelsea’s most iconic Blue Plaques – brought to life by Sir Stephen Fry, Flora Montgomery, Darryl Foster and Alex Hinston.

The luminaries being celebrated are reggae legend Bob Marley, Irish author, poet, and playwright Oscar Wilde, novelist and poet George Eliot and war correspondent and author Martha Gellhorn.

Each segment of the event features vivid, intimate portraits of the extraordinary individuals who once called Chelsea home. These compelling dramatisations are followed by in-depth discussions delving deeper into each Blue Plaque story.

This event is taking place as part of the inaugural Chelsea Arts Festival.
