‘This day the angels sing on earth’: it isn’t Christmas at Cadogan Hall without Harry Christophers and The Sixteen’s extraordinary, atmospheric seasonal celebration.
Christmas is a time for families and old friends – for well-loved tunes and good cheer. But it’s also a time of mystery and wonder: of silent nights, and sounds that echo across centuries. No-one understands that better than Harry Christophers and his world-famous chamber choir The Sixteen, and their annual Christmas celebration is one of the most popular events in the Cadogan Hall calendar.
We’re delighted to welcome them back this Yuletide for two nights of beauty, wonder and seasonal joy – a true celebration for all ages. But from medieval carols to visionary modern masterpieces, it all takes its inspiration from the story at the heart of the season: a baby in a stable, surrounded by simply heavenly singing.

The Tallis Scholars explore the music of Byrd and Rachmaninov – as well as Tallis’ mighty Spem in alium. The BBC Singers and VOCES8 perform music that spans centuries, and The Sixteen return with their joyous annual Christmas celebration – as well as a sparkling concert performance of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen.
