A Season’s First for ECO
As part of its educational Close Encounters outreach programme, the ECO has teamed up Dr Bruno Bower, musicologist and composer from Imperial College London to give an introductory course – streamed online – on the music and composers in the ECO’s 2021-22 London season. This exciting new series of nine monthly talks runs from 15 September 2021 to 11 May 2022.
Let the trumpet sound! The English Chamber Orchestra welcomes internationally acclaimed trumpet soloist Paul Merkelo to perform an exciting selection of works for trumpet and orchestra including Tartini’s Concerto in D major, Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets and Haydn’s much-loved Concerto in E flat.
Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite and Bartok’s devilish Divertimento for String Orchestra complete this uplifting programme of classics conducted by Adrien Perruchon.
