The Big Swing is a new female-fronted big band led by Georgina Jackson and Emma Smith and featuring some of the best players on the scene, including Nikki Iles, Rachel Cohen, Josephine Davis and guest vocalist Vula Malinga of Basement Jaxx.

Staying true to the old-school style yet with a new-wave attitude, The Big Swing has a mission to reimagine everything you knew about the big band tradition.

The band is co-presented by Georgina Jackson and Emma Smith who are both highly regarded musicians in the Swing scene, with performances in Ronnie Scott’s residencies, BBC Proms, and collaborations with artists such as Seal and The Puppini Sisters in chart-topping releases.

Expect a night of music that is radically fresh and combines a mix of the undeniable classics and new repertoire with Swing at its heart and soul. The type of joyful music which makes sitting still in your seat impossible with guest performances that will set the place alight.
