The National Opera Studio and the Orchestra of English National Opera present National Treasures: Shakespeare’s Works in Opera, a semi-staged concert performance of scenes from operas and musical theatre based on the incredible writings of the UK’s most famous playwright.
Directed and devised by celebrated international opera director Keith Warner, and conducted by David Parry, the programme will include extracts from Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Verdi’s Falstaff, Cole Porter’s Kiss Me Kate, and a few well-hidden operatic treasures along the way.
