Nick Costley-White Trio
Performers
Conor Chaplin double bass
Shane Forbes drums
Nick has built a reputation over the last 10 years as one of the UK’s most accomplished jazz guitarists and is featured on over 20 recordings to date, including his quartet’s debut release Detour Ahead, which was met with critical acclaim.
‘I was struck by the sheer presence and melodic heft and ease of Nick Costley-White’s playing. The ideas flow naturally, the sound is gorgeous, there’s just nothing missing.’ (Sebastian Scotney, London Jazz News)
For the past three years Nick has held a residency at Dishoom in Kensington, where his regular trio, featuring Empirical drummer Shane Forbes and double bass virtuoso Conor Chaplin, has honed its intuitive and fluid approach to the jazz canon.
