Rising star of the UK jazz scene and Selmer-endorsed saxophonist and composer, Hannah Horton makes her debut at Cadogan Hall. Known for her bold melodic voice, emotional honesty and groove-rich sound, Hannah brings her formidable quartet to the stage fresh from the studio, where they’ve just recorded her highly anticipated fourth album.

With a distinctive tone and a compelling sense of rhythm, Hannah’s music is unashamedly personal and strikingly accessible – a rare balance that has won her acclaim from critics, audiences, and peers alike. Her 2021 album, Inside Out, earned her a Parliamentary Jazz Award nomination and cemented her reputation as a major new voice in British jazz.

Hannah has performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, and 606 Club, and she has sold out both her previous London Jazz Festival appearances. Now, for the first time, she brings her celebrated quartet to Cadogan Hall, offering a fresh and emotionally rich set that reflects both her musical growth and the powerful themes behind her latest work.

The music is grounded in jazz but infused with soul, folk and funk influences – shaped by Hannah’s wide-ranging musical tastes and her belief in jazz as a space for freedom, connection and storytelling. As a bandleader, she draws deep synergy from her ensemble, whose intuitive, energetic playing creates a live experience full of joy, nuance and bold improvisation.

Beyond the stage, Hannah is also a respected educator and mentor, passionate about supporting young female and non-binary musicians through her ensemble J Steps. Her commitment to community and artistic integrity shines through in everything she does, making her performances not only musically rich but emotionally resonant and deeply human.

Don’t miss this chance to catch one of the UK’s most exciting jazz artists at a pivotal moment in her career. Expect new material, magnetic interplay, and music that speaks straight to the heart.
