This unique evening brings together the renowned actor Selçuk Yöntem, celebrated for his charismatic voice and compelling acting, with a host of talented musicians. Together, they will stage the poetry of the world’s most admired poets, set to original musical compositions.
Selçuk Yöntem will interpret ten beloved pieces by nine poets from Turkey and across the globe, enhanced by the ensemble’s unique compositions.
This is your chance to hear the Turkish rendition of Peppino di Capri’s timeless piece Champagne, famously sung by Andrea Bocelli, now in the voice of Selçuk Yöntem. Accomplished pianist and vocalist Merve Akyıldız will join Selçuk, providing piano and vocal accompaniment.
Invisible World Quartet will also be performing at this special evening. The Quartet’s own musical compositions combine elements of jazz, chamber music and world music from the Mediterranean and southeastern regions of the European continent. The Quartet – featuring Tomáš Liška (upright bass), Efe Turumtay (violin), Nikola Zarić (accordion) and Kamil Slezák (drums) – searches tirelessly for fascinating blends of instruments and cultures.
Please note, this event will be in Turkish.
