The opening night of the very first Polish Jazz Festival in London brings together two of the biggest stars of the Polish jazz scene, each performing a separate set.
Anna Maria Jopek and her quintet present a career-spanning selection from her globally acclaimed catalogue. Having performed with legends such as Sting and Pat Metheny, and performed at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, and the Royal Festival Hall, Jopek’s delicate and soulful voice will find a perfect setting within Cadogan Hall’s rich jazz tradition.
The second part of the evening showcases a solo performance by Leszek Możdżer, one of the most outstanding and influential Polish jazz musicians.
A world-class pianist and bold musical explorer, Możdżer has developed his own distinctive style – one built on impression, atmosphere, and a uniquely original performing language. His refined artistic vision, blending diverse musical influences, has made him the leading figure of a new generation of jazz artists in Poland. Today, he remains one of the country’s most celebrated and popular jazz musicians.
