A leading protagonist in the area of innovative music, Italian composer and pianist Roberto Cacciapaglia blends classical tradition with electronic experimentalism. He comes to Cadogan Hall for his first ever UK performance, having played in Russia, the USA (including Carnegie Hall), and China in the six months before the pandemic.
Cacciapaglia’s first release, Sonanze in 1974, was the first quadraphonic LP released in Italy. He has continued steadily releasing music and performing ever since. Days of Experience (Believe Digital, 2020) is his latest work, composed during the Covid era and given its premiere at the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua.
