The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra warmly welcomes back Chloé van Soeterstède to conduct this delightful array of classical favourites including Dvořák’s richly romantic Cello Concerto – performed here by accomplished Romanian soloist Andrei Ionita.
Also featuring Mendelssohn’s overture to the fairytale-inspired The Fair Melusina, as well as Brahms’ third, and penultimate, symphony – a rich, romantic and lyrical masterpiece, often considered the composer’s most lyrical and best crafted.
