Andrew Carwood director
An enchanting journey through the profound world of Renaissance choral music with an inspiring collection carefully curated by the ensemble’s music director, Andrew Carwood. Showcasing some of the most exquisite works from renowned composers including William Byrd, Robert Parsons, Alfonso Ferrabosco, Thomas Tallis, and Philippus de Monte, in a programme that offers an emotional journey for both newcomers and seasoned admirers of choral music alike.
Named after the 16th-century Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, The Cardinall’s Musick’s renown has risen steadily since its foundation in 1989 and returns to Cadogan Hall this season following its acclaimed performance here in 2021.
‘The voices of Andrew Carwood and his cohorts could probably start a blaze in the Antarctic!’ (The Times)
‘One of the most important vocal groups in Britain’s early-music armoury’ (The Independent)
