This single performance of mesmerising Turkish Waltzes brings together violin virtuoso Cihat Aşkın, conductor Oğuzhan Balcı and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for a unique night of musical enchantment. Especially assembled by the Yunus Emre Institute in London, they will be performing a selection of the very best Turkish waltzes from the late Ottoman era and the beginning of the Turkish Republic, from Hamamizade İsmail Dede Efendi and İsmail Hakkı Bey to Sezen Aksu and Evanthia Reboutsika.

Cihat Aşkın, an international representative of the Turkish Violin Ecole, is a leading artist of contemporary Turkish music and a founding member of ITU Centre for Advanced Studies in Music.
