A note from Vox Anima London:
‘Vox Anima London joins arts organisations around the world in expressing profound sadness at the loss of life, disruption of daily activity, and the silencing of concert halls and stages. Even as we mourn the silence and absence of communal music-making, we commit ourselves more than ever to creating opportunities on the other side of this nightmare to bring life to music and music to life. We are postponing our 2020 concerts, but we will resume our vibrant series in May and June of 2021.’
Vox Anima London presents the UK premiere of Arnesen’s Tuvayhun: Beatitudes for a Wounded World. Working from Tony Silvestri’s libretto, the famed Norwegian composer has crafted a choral gem that presents themes of hopefulness, mercy, and humility through brilliant choral writing and innovative orchestration. Choirs from the UK, Spain, and the United States unite for this premiere performance.
