Freddy Kempf makes a welcome return to Cadogan Hall with Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in an all-Russian programme with the Siberian Symphony Orchestra.

Also on the bill is Tchaikovsky’s thrilling Fourth Symphony, in which the composer takes a simple Russian folksong and turns it into something altogether more dramatic.

‘Kempf’s watchfulness led to miracles of co-ordination you never get when soloists are lost in their own world.’ (The Arts Desk)
