LCO launches a season of emotions at Cadogan Hall this evening; exploring different facets of human nature and feelings in each concert, the season begins with the envy-fuelled myth of Mozart and Salieri. Delving into this dark side of human nature, the legendary antagonism between the two composers, however fictional it may be, embodies a fable that carries a lasting truth.
Alongside a rare performance of Salieri’s long-forgotten ‘name day’ symphony, LCO explores Mozart’s timeless Requiem, a work shrouded in mystery, revelation and intrigue, under the baton of Christopher Warren-Green.
