Charterhouse Symphony Orchestra, Chapel Choirs and Choral Society present Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Beethoven’s glorious masterpiece is the finale of Charterhouse’s gala concert at Cadogan Hall.
The first half will feature showcase performances from Charterhouse School’s most advanced ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra, Schola Cantorum, Big Band, Rock Band, Piano Quartet and Close Harmony Group.
The second half brings together the whole Charterhouse community, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra. It welcomes renowned soloists Alexandra Stevenson (soprano), Claire Sutton-Williams (mezzo-soprano), Sam Furness (tenor) and David Stout (bass). Both Alexandra and Claire are vocal teachers at Charterhouse, and Sam is an Old Carthusian.
The performance is directed by David McKee, Director of Music.
