Escaping Time is a collaboration between harpist Valeria Clarke, guitarist and producer Peter Michaels, and Brazilian percussionist Marcinho Pereira. The group explore the boundaries between classical music, electronica and South American grooves. With influences from Eric Satie, Brian Eno, Goldie and Heitor Villa-Lobos, they perform unique versions of well-known pieces together with their own original compositions.

Their sound blends the mesmerising beauty of the classical harp, with live looping, Brazilian rhythms, vintage analogue synths and driving guitar. Between them, the musicians have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and the Barbican.

Duration: approx. 2 hours (incl. 30-minute break)
