An Evening with Louis Theroux
Related Links
Like millions of others, award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux’s plans were mothballed by the onset of covid. Unable to escape to the porn sets, prisons and maximum-security psychiatric units that are his usual journalistic beat, he began reporting on a location even more full of pitfalls and hostile objects of inquiry: his own home during a pandemic.
Join Louis in person for this unique event as he shares an honest, hilarious, and heart-warming account of the weirdness of family life in Covid World. A wife intolerant of his obsession with Joe Wicks’ daily workouts. Two teenage sons, inseparable from their videogames, for whom he is increasingly ‘cringe’. A five-year-old happily spamming out videos on his own new TikTok account while on holiday with his oblivious family.
Celebrating the paperback publication of Theroux The Keyhole, Louis will be in conversation live on stage at his insightful best, as he reflects on the unforeseen new challenges of living through a global crisis, launching his hit podcast Grounded, and finally getting to the U.S. to film a new Joe Exotic documentary.
This is a rare opportunity to spend an evening in the company of the world’s best-loved TV documentary maker.
Duration: approx. 2 hours (incl. interval)
