Mandarin Voices (formerly Chopsticks Choral Society) leads the way in showcasing the best of Chinese choral music for UK audiences.

Dao is an extraordinarily dramatic and vivid choral work (based on western choral traditions rather than Chinese opera), exploring the basic principles of Daoist philosophy, performed in Mandarin by up to 100 singers and accompanied by a percussion band using traditional Chinese instruments and the piano.

Love, Friendship & Longing is a choral work set to a cycle of Tang dynasty love poems and inspired by Brahms’ Liebeslieder waltzes.

Duration: approx. 1 hour 45 mins (incl. interval)
