In the second half, the Ivor Novello Award-winning composer Richard Blackford conducts the world premiere of his new cantata Babel, in which the soloists are the brilliant young Spanish soprano Lorena Paz Nieto, tenor Mark Le Brocq and baritone Stephen Gadd.

Babel is a dramatic cantata based on the stories of Noah’s Flood and the Tower of Babel, with a thrilling and colourful score using organ, piano and percussion.
