The Sixteen’s 2017 Christmas programme is a beautifully festive collection of music from the 16th century right up to the present day.

Poulenc’s work is explored with his joyful Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël, an uplifting celebration of the events of the Christmas story, and the choir revisits his solemn and reflective Un soir de neige. If you are a fan of the more traditional, you can find such delights as Howells’ A spotless rose, and old favourites the Somerset Carol and Past three o’clock.
