An exciting cast of soloists joins the London Mozart Players and the City of London Choir for a vivid interpretation of Elijah: the biblical epic brought to life by Mendelssohn’s beautiful and powerful score.

The story of the great prophet – an important figure in Judaism, Christianity and Islam – is full of drama: false gods, famine and flood; ravens and resurrection; earthquake, wind and fire. The oratorio was immediately taken to the hearts of the British audience for whom it was written, thanks to its strong characters and narrative, rich orchestral colour and stirring choruses, and has remained one of the most loved choral works to this day.

Duration: approx. 2 hours 20 mins (incl. interval)
