The Drake YolanDa Award presents a special concert to showcase the winners of the 2019 prize.
Welcoming artists from all backgrounds and genres, the music prize was founded by philanthropist and entrepreneur James JP Drake along with musician and broadcaster YolanDa Brown, to support the careers of young artists in the UK and to break the glass ceiling in the music industry.
The 10 winners of the prize were selected from over 200 entries by judges Gareth Malone OBE, music editor of The Independent Roisin O’Connor, Matt Cardle and Ben Earle.
Special Guests are The Kingdom Choir, who charmed their way into the hearts of the nation after they performed at the wedding of HRH Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.
Their debut single ‘Stand By Me’ went straight in at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Songs Chart and has received over 10 million views on YouTube.
Founded in 1994 by award-winning conductor Karen Gibson, the group of singers from in and around London is dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performance.
Join The Kingdom Choir and Year 1 Drake YolanDa Award Winners for an inspirational night of live music.
Duration: approx. 3 hours (incl. interval)
