The second concert showcases Mozart’s magnificent Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, one of his most dramatic works, pushing the elegance of the Classical concerto into darker emotional territory, performed by the award-winning Alon Kariv, one of the most distinguished young pianists today.

Alongside it, the atmospheric foreboding of Vaughan Williams’ The Death of Tintagiles meets the energy and intensity of James MacMillan’s Tryst and Imogen Holst’s folk-tune-inspired On Westhall Hill, filled with scurrying woodwinds and a taste for innovation.
