The Hexagon Society is proud to announce a once-in-a-lifetime event: Last Exit before Brexit, a one-man play on Europe, written and performed by Bernard-Henri Lévy, the French activist-philosopher.

From humanity’s darkest hours at Auschwitz to the siege of Sarajevo and the migrants sinking in the Mediterranean, a French writer, confined in a hotel room, travels back in time, searching his memory, to compose a speech on the fate of Europe and to praise the UK to remain with us.

He will share his passionate views about European common identity and history, its victories and defeats. From Shakespeare and Locke, through Churchill, to the Beatles, J.K. Rowling, Stephen Hawking and so many others, the British have been, alongside with the French and the Germans, the inventors of the European Idea.

Bernard-Henri Lévy wants to remind the English public the words of the great poet John Donne: “No man is an island entire of itself / Every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.”

Last Exit Before Brexit will be performed in English.
