Ledisi is a Grammy Award-winning American singer, songwriter, actress, author, producer, and educator. Born in New Orleans and raised in Oakland, California, she developed her love of music at an early age and began performing professionally before launching her recording career independently.

Renowned for her powerful, soulful voice and a style that blends R&B, soul and jazz, Ledisi gained wider recognition with albums including Lost & Found, Turn Me Loose and Pieces of Me. In 2021, she won her first Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Anything for You.” She has since accumulated 16 Grammy nominations.
