Accordionist-extraordinaire Ksenija Sidorova is a completely captivating performer and, if you haven’t already seen her in action, here’s your chance to put that right
In this intimate and informal concert we explore the impact of 18th-century composer J.S. Bach on contemporary music. With her accordion mastery Ksenija will bring to life the art of the chaconne, a musical form that Bach mastered, defined by a short, repetitive bass line accompanied by a series of variations.
You will also witness the UK premiere of Sergey Akhunov’s Chaconne, composed specifically for accordion, strings, and percussion.
The cherry on top will be a typically electric and immersive LCO performance of the unmatchable Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 by Bach himself.
Duration: approx. 1 hour 40 mins (incl. interval)
