“Vox Anima London joins arts organisations around the world in expressing profound sadness at the loss of life, disruption of daily activity, and the silencing of concert halls and stages. Even as we mourn the silence and absence of communal music-making, we commit ourselves more than ever to creating opportunities on the other side of this nightmare to bring life to music and music to life. We are postponing our 2020 concerts, but we will resume our vibrant series in May and June of 2021 and will advise specific dates as soon as possible.”

The choral music of celebrated London composer Cecilia McDowall is featured in performances by choral ensembles from America and the UK, including Vox Anima Chamber Choir and the Oklahoma State University Singers.

The evening culminates with the ensembles coming together for a performance of Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo, with violinist Harriet Mackenzie and a libretto by Kevin Crossley-Holland.
