Irene Serra vocals/keyboards/electronics
Luca Boscagin guitar/electronics
Richard Sadler bass
Chris Nickolls drums/electronics

Irene Serra’s ISQ is one of London’s most distinctive yet under-the-radar contemporary music projects. For more than two decades, the Italian-born, UK-based vocalist and songwriter has blended sophisticated jazz, alternative pop and atmospheric soundscapes into music of striking emotional depth. Joined by Richard Sadler (bass), Chris Nickolls (drums/electronics) and Luca Boscagin (guitar), ISQ brings together musicians whose credits include the Neil Cowley Trio, Andy Sheppard and Cinematic Orchestra.

Following acclaimed releases including Too and Requiem for the Faithful, ISQ returns in 2026 with its fifth album, The Silence is Deafening. Darker and more guitar-driven, it has been described as “noir jazz meets Massive Attack”, inhabiting a compelling space between progressive vocal jazz and alternative art-pop. The album explores women’s lives, resilience, and generational legacy, inspired by Serra’s mother’s journey from Sicily to Copenhagen and her quiet strength.

“Sublime vocals” Jazz FM

“Performed midway between jazz and soul mode, Serra occupies terrain Billie Holiday would find familiar, Sade too” Jazzwise

“ISQ are a melting pot of genres – jazz, pop, acoustic and experimental – which all blend together to entrancing effect” Time Out Critics Choice

Doors open 11am.
