However, we are pleased to announce that Chelsea Opera Group will be performing a recital of aria and ensembles from popular works by Verdi, Mozart, Bellini and Donezetti as part of a socially distanced recital on Sunday 8 November at 5pm.
70 years ago Chelsea Opera Group chose for its inaugural concert Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In the tradition of bringing to its audiences the unusual and the unjustly neglected, they are celebrating 70 years of music-making with Mozart – but with a difference. This will be a rare opportunity to hear Richard Strauss’ controversial and fascinating reworking of Mozart’s Idomeneo, commissioned by the Vienna State Opera to mark the 130th anniversary of the work’s premiere.
Concert performance in German with English surtitles.
Please note start time.
Recommended age: 7+
Duration: approx. 2 hours 20 minutes (incl. interval)
